“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation," Hebrews 2:1-3.

People are prone to reject the gospel of the water and the Spirit after hearing it once because they don’t realize their sinful nature (Mark 7:21-23). Although some people appreciate the gravity of their sins, others do not feel that their sins are that grave, or that their "good" deeds outweigh the bad. All human beings are born as sinners and failure to keep Gods Law constitutes a mortal sin which all are guilty of. It is clear that we are destined to be condemned & destroyed for our sins- Romans 6:23

***If your heart is accepting of Gods judgement upon yourself, then you will surely surrender to God and believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit that Jesus fulfilled for you to save you from such a fate***

When Jesus received His baptism from the high priest John the baptist, all of your sins, and the sins of the whole world were transfered onto Jesus` body. He was therefore crucified and was judged for your sins on the cross and rose from the dead the third day, thus reconciling you back to God who were once separated due to your sins. But those who refuse to believe in God’s Word of righteousness even after hearing it are essentially wasting their chance to return to the righteous God.

That is why the Bible says, “We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard” (Hebrews 2:1). www.bjnewlife.org
