You and I must not think of this Jesus Christ as the same creature as us. Nor should we even compare Him to such sages as Confucius, Mencius, or Socrates who lived in this world only for a short while. It is absolutely indispensable for you to realize and believe that Jesus Christ is the very God who created this universe and all things in it. He who created you and me, who made us to be born from the womb of our mothers and grow, who rules over our life and death, who is the Alpha and the Omega, who has given us the blessings of the remission of sins, and who has allowed us to enjoy everlasting happiness in Heaven—He is none other than Jesus, who is God Himself. Our faith must be founded on the proper recognition that the Lord is God Himself who rules over man’s blessings and curses.
