Many Christians are trying to receive the Holy Spirit as when He descended on Jesus’ disciples on the Day of the Pentecost. Some people have earned great sums of money by exploiting this method. They pretend that the Holy Spirit is something that can be obtained through human effort. They want to have visions, perform miracles, hear Jesus’ own voice, speak in tongues, heal diseases and cast out demons. Satan lures and deceives people using all kinds of methods such as wonders and miracles that are really just illusions. We must know that the Holy Spirit is not given due to ones own efforts.

The Holy Spirit, being Holy, does not dwell in the hearts of sinners no matter how fervently they believe in Jesus and pray to Him.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit a gift from God given to the person who repents from believing in God in incorrectly, confesses that they were born in sin and destined for hell and then receives the forgiveness of all their sins by faith in the baptism of Jesus from John the Baptist whereby He shouldered the sin of the world.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is given only to those who`s hearts have been sanctified and washed clean from all their sins by faith in Gods righteousness through the water, blood and spirit of Jesus and it contains the meaning of the fulfillment of God`s promise.
