Does one who is saved, is saved forever?
Well, you may know that our salvation comes from our faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. In order words, when we believe in Jesus' baptism and His Cross, we can be born again and become righteous.
The most important thing is that we do believe in the truth in our
heart or not, as it is written, "For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"
(Romans 10:10). And the Holy Spirit dwells in our heart the moment
when we confess our faith in the true gospel sincerely. And He keeps
us from then on.
And, you cannot lose your salvation as long as you do not deny the true gospel. But, if someone, who has been born again, comes to deny the gospel somehow, then he now commits "the sin leading to death" (1 John 5:16). It would be impossible for the really born again saints to deny the true gospel, because it is too clear to be confused.
However, the Bible says there would be such betrayal of faith in
the end times (2 Thessalonians 2:3). And, Matthew 13:3-9 states,
"Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: "Behold,
a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the
wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony
places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately
sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was
up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered
away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked
them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a
hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let
him hear!"
This passage tells us that those who have lost their faith in the
gospel of the water and the Spirit to the end, even though they
heard and believed it at first, will lose their salvation eventually.
The Bible says, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved"
(Matthew 24:13). Our salvation will not be nullified as long as
we acknowledge the true gospel to be the most precious thing in
the world and we defend our faith in the gospel at any sacrifice
to the end. Please, refer to Ezekiel 33:12-16.
Therefore, your salvation is effective as long as you have faith
in the true gospel. That's why the Lord God says, "The just shall
live by faith" (Romans 1:17, Habakkuk 2:4). I hope you would
be satisfied with my answer, and stand firm on the gospel of the
water and the Spirit.
