A Book Review on “The Tabernacle”series by Paul C. Jong

After reading “The Tabernacle”series by Paul C. Jong, I came to realize how the message of the gospel of the water and the Spirit permeates the entire Bible, how it forms the bridge between the Old and New Testaments, and how it is essential in explaining the many mysteries of the Bible. The message of Jesus?baptism and His blood is found in the Old Testament in the form of the sacrificial system of the Tabernacle; it is also symbolized by the blue (Jesus?baptism), purple (His divinity), and scarlet (His blood) colors of the outer and inner gates of the Tabernacle. Before reading these books, I had not quite understood the significance of “The Lord’s Supper? But when the author said that we should feed on the Word of God (Jesus Himself) by partaking of His flesh (baptism) and His blood (crucifixion), then I realized that what was important here was not the ritual of “The Lord’s Supper? but of having faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Throughout the books, the author emphasizes faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. To quote: “There is only one thing that is absolutely necessary for us to enter Heaven, and this is the faith that believes in the baptism of the washing of sin that Jesus received in the Jordan River and the sacrifice that He made by shedding His blood on the Cross as our own remission of sin. There is no other way.?[Volume 2, page 119]. Therefore, I earnestly recommend all pastors and laymen to read these books, so that they may overcome, with the true faith, the lies of false gospels circulating in the world today.
